New Product Company develops, adapts, and produces experimental theater that investigates how we live now: online, offline, and in between. New Product Company is a launchpad, building original work alongside adaptations of contemporary literature in collaboration with living writers; and an incubator, growing a company of returning artists through resourceful production, cross-medium experimentation, and genuine creative partnership.

New Product Company productions range in form, source, and medium, but share a common DNA: they merge digital media and live performance, are formally inventive, politically alert, and darkly funny. We are committed to compensating our artists, to supporting emerging playwrights and performers, and to making theater that speaks from and to the internet generation.

New Product Company has produced five original works in Pittsburgh, including the theatrical premiere of Madeline Cash's Earth Angel, the workshop premiere of Lily Houghton's play:body, for which we flew the playwright to Pittsburgh, and the upcoming Whistleblowers by Spencer Byham-Carson. Our work has been called "chaotic in the best way" and "provocative" by Pittsburgh critics.
